The Centre, located at Broad Street, Charleville, Co. Cork, comprises of a Créche / Toddler Room, Playroom, Montessori School and After-school. The Centre has been in operation since 2001 and operates as a 'Centre of Excellence'. Our staff are highly experienced and qualified up to level 8. The curriculum for each room, designed by the staff and management, is appropriate for each child's age and stage of development, following Aistear and Siolta frameworks.

The Child & Family Education Centre is taking applications for an Early Childhood Educator. The applicant must have a minimum of FETAC Level 6 Childcare qualification however FETAC Level 7 is desirable. The candidate must be willing to complete Garda Vetting. The successful candidate will have 3 years experience in Childcare, demonstrate dedication and must be flexible.

CCS Community Childcare Subvention Programme

Community Childcare Subvention Programme: Under the Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) Programme parents in training, education or in receipt of a social welfare payment and/or medical card or GP visit card can avail of childcare at reduced rates.

The CCS Programme covers the academic year, starting in September and finishing in July. The only age requirement is that a child must be aged under-15 years (our centre caters for children up to 12 years of age). When parents are applying for a CCS place,the Manager will confirm with the parents, the number of days the child is being enrolled for, and the type of childcare place required. Parents should bring both their own and their child’s Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) when the CCS Child Registration Form is being completed. They will also require the child’s date of birth.

CCS childcare places as follows:

- Full day care places (more than 5 hours per day)
- Part-time places (between 3 hours 31 minutes and 5 hours)
- Sessional places (between 2 hours 16 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes)
- Half-session places (between 1 hour and 2 hours 15 minutes)

Our Centre caters for infant, pre-school and afterschool places.
